Who we are

Kalaamugosi Women Empowerment Enterprise, where Zesui Dream Coffee embodies a transformation narrative. Established by local educators in 2013, our home lies in Bugisu, atop Mount Elgon, renowned for its premier Arabica coffee. Kalaamugosi Women Cooperative Society was born to address the hurdles confronting local women and girls. “Kalaamugosi,” a Lugisu term, embodies our mission of freeing rural women from various constraints, be it domestic violence or illiteracy, via economic empowerment. Registered as Kalaamugosi Women Empowerment in 2018, we span Sironko, Bulambuli, Kapchorwa, Bududa, and Butaleja, collaborating with 2,000 farmers, including 32 lead farmers, guided by two Agronomists. Our journey features five coffee collection centers, a Sironko drying yard, and Busiita’s micro-lot processing center.
